Installing a 3-lug device

Always wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE) including adequate eye protection when servicing a firearm.

Parts needed:

• 3-Lug Muzzle Device
• 3-Lug Wrench
• Optional: Muzzle Device Shim Kit

Without timing muzzle device (for 3-Lug Flash Hider):

1. Thread muzzle device onto barrel
Install the muzzle device on the barrel and tighten using a 3-Lug wrench. DO NOT USE A CRUSH WASHER.

With timing device (for 3-Lug Brake):

1. Thread muzzle device onto barrel
Install the muzzle device on the barrel using the 3-Lug wrench. Determine the appropriate size and number of shims to use to correctly time the device. If you are installing the Angstadt Arms 3-Lug Brake, the two holes should be set to 12 O'clock

2. Remove the muzzle device and install shims
Remove the muzzle device, install the appropriate shims and reinstall the muzzle device. Tighten with a 3-lug wrench. Your muzzle device should now be correctly timed. DO NOT USE A CRUSH WASHER.
