How to Install a 3-Lug Device

If you're a firearm enthusiast and keen on enhancing the efficiency of your gear, installing a 3-Lug device might be on your to-do list! This provides you with quick attachment/detachment, secure locking, reduced barrel wear, and enhanced compatibility with suppressors and other muzzle devices.

This guide will teach you how to install a 3-lug device, whether it's a Flash Hider, a Brake, or another 3-Lug muzzle device.

Here are the parts you will require:

Steps to Installation:

  1. Begin by installing the muzzle device onto the barrel. Ensure to tighten it using the 3-Lug wrench. Remember, DO NOT USE A CRUSH WASHER in this process.
  2. If you are using a timing device such as a 3-Lug Brake, you must determine the right size and number of shims to use for accurately timing the device. If you're installing Angstadt Arms 3-Lug Brake, set the two holes to a 12 O'clock position.
  3. Proceed to remove the muzzle device, install the appropriate shims you have determined, and then reinstall the muzzle device. You'll need to tighten it back with a 3-lug wrench. After this step, your muzzle device should be correctly timed. Again, DO NOT USE A CRUSH WASHER.

Now that you've installed the 3-lug device on your firearm, you're set to experience improved performance and precision. Now aim for perfection, and happy shooting!
