How does Purchasing Guns or NFA Items online work?

We've streamlined the process for purchasing firearms and NFA items to ensure a smooth and compliant experience. Below are the steps you need to follow:

Purchasing Firearms (Pistols, Rifles, Stripped Lower Receivers):

If you already have a specific local FFL (Federal Firearms License) in mind for the transfer:

  • Input their company name and address in the "Ship To" fields during checkout.
  • After checkout, contact your local dealer and request them to email us at contact@angstadtarms.com with a copy of their FFL, including your name and order number for reference. Failure to provide this information may delay shipment.
  • You will receive an automated email once we receive your dealer's license and can process your order.
  • Once your order ships from our shop, you will receive a second email with a UPS tracking number.

If you're unsure about which local FFL to use:

  • Uncheck the box labeled "Ship to a Different Address" during checkout.
  • In the "Order Notes" section, indicate that you are still searching for a local dealer to perform the transfer.
  • After checkout, locate a suitable local dealer and request them to email us at contact@angstadtarms.com with a copy of their FFL, including your name and order number for reference.
  • You will receive an automated email once we receive your dealer's license and can process your order.
  • Once your order ships from our shop, you will receive a second email with a UPS tracking number.

Purchasing Short Barrel Rifles or Suppressors (Class III Items):

For purchasing Class III items such as Short Barrel Rifles (SBRs) or Suppressors:

  • Proceed with checkout on our website and enter your local dealer's information (FFL/SOT) in the shipping details. The dealer must hold both an FFL and Special Occupational Tax (SOT) for Class III items.
  • We will initiate a Form 3 transfer to your dealer, which typically takes about a week for approval.
  • Once approved, we will ship the item to your local dealer.
  • At your local dealer, you will complete a Form 4 and pay the required $200 tax stamp (per NFA item).
  • Upon approval, you can take possession of the item.

Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions or require further assistance with the purchase process.
